More than standard: Graebener® 4-roll bending machines differentiate from the standard when it comes to the production of large vessels, wind towers and monopiles with increased wall thickness. We have specialized on types of applications which require a continuously high production output from the machines – even at a wall thickness of up to 200 mm. Corresponding to this, the Graebener® roll bending machines have a robust and long-lasting design. This way and in contrast to the standard, we can ensure that you as operator can ideally bend the maximum wall thickness agreed upon over the entire plate width – fast, reliable and economically.
Our solutions are based on more than 40 years of experience as manufacturer of 3- and 4-roll bending machines. These machines are just as individual as the challenges of our customers worldwide. One example among many others is the patented Graebener® supporting yoke which can be retrofitted for all 4-roll bending machines. Thanks to this technology you as operator can benefit from a considerably increased pre-bending performance, without having to exchange the rolls. Thus, straight ends can be reduced to a minimum. An optional supporting beam facilitates the plate handling and supports during the bending of sections with a diameter of up to 12 m.

The concepts of the Graebener® roll bending machines are based on decades of experience, in the area of roll bending machines even reaching back as far as the 1970ies. As special machine builder our aim for each project is to use this experience to design an individual concept which is ideally customized to your requirements.
Depending on the type of application we use various concepts when designing your solution, one of these concepts being the supporting yoke technology.
The supporting yoke turns your Graebener® 4-roll bending machine into a versatile multipurpose machine. It supports the comparatively small rolls during the pre-bending process. The supporting yoke clamps the top and bottom rolls thus counteracting a deflection by applying counterpressure to the rolls. This way, the pre-bending power of the roll can be increased. Straight ends no longer need to be flame cut, since they are reduced to a minimum. This saves time, improves the production capacity and enhances the economic efficiency of your production.
When the supporting yoke is not needed for production, it can be completely sunk into the foundation. This way, a plate can be bent in the machine as if not supporting yoke was installed.
A Graebener® solution is a holistic solution. Therefore, we have developed a handling system for your Graebener® roll bending machine which is ideally suited for straight as well as conical pipe sections and can be applied without further crane handling.
To ensure an optimum bending result for each type of application – even when processing cones – the plate support tables can be adjusted to the respective wall thickness vertically as well as horizontally. Whereas the height adjustment supports the lifted plate during the bending process, the horizontal adjustment ensures that the shell sections are perfectly aligned to the bending axis of the machine and exactly centered below the top roll during each bending step.
Whether for continuous roll bending or pre-bending: the Graebener® plate handling system ensures the exact positioning of the plates while at the same time providing maximum support during the bending process.
